48th AIAA/ASME/ASCE/AHS/ASC Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference 23 - 26 Apr 2007, Sheraton Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii The 48th Structures, Structural Dynamics, & Materials (SDM) Conference is sponsored by AIAA, ASME, ASCE, AHS, and ASC. This established conference is a widely acknowledged annual event that provides a unique forum dedicated to the latest development in the collective disciplines of structures, structural dynamics, materials, design engineering, and survivability. The 48th SDM Conference will also host the 15th AIAA/ASME/AHS Adaptive Structures Conference, the 9th AIAA Non-Deterministic Approaches Conference, the 8th AIAA Gossamer Spacecraft Forum, the 3rd AIAA Multidisciplinary Design Optimization Specialist Conference, and the AIAA Dynamics Specialist Conference. Plenary presentations will be given by well-known, forward-thinking, invited speakers focused on structures and materials challenges for future aircraft and spacecraft, and potential paths and ideas leading to integrated solutions.

The topic areas for this congress have been organized into three broad topics: Optimization Methods; Information Management & Processing/ Modeling & Simulation; and Applications.
