4th International Workshop on Reliable Engineering Computing - REC2010 Robust Design - Coping with Hazards, Risk and Uncertainty Conference website: http://www.eng.nus.edu.sg/civil/REC2010/index.cfm
The 4th International Workshop on Reliable Engineering Computing is hosted by National University of Singapore, Department of Civil Engineering. Industry and Academia are invited to contribute and to join in the discussions on needs and developments in the field of robust design and associated issues. The REC-workshops possess a unique multi-disciplinary character with the kernel areas of Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics. Contributions are welcome from the entire variety regarding the (i) the definition of robustness, (ii) the mathematical framework, and (iii) the application field. Design may concern structures, systems, processes, algorithms, etc. Risks, hazards and uncertainty may be addressed with traditional probabilistic methods, with Bayesian methods, as well as with non-traditional approaches such as interval and fuzzy methods, evidence theory, imprecise probabilities, or fuzzy probabilities. Contributions are invited with emphasis on both theory and applications.
