12th AIAA/ISSMO Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimization Conference
10-12 September 2008 Victoria Conference Centre, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
For over twenty years, the biennial AIAA/ISSMO Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimization (MA&O) Conference has brought together industry practitioners, government employees, and academics to present and discuss the latest developments in multidisciplinary design, analysis, and optimization. Multidisciplinary analysis and optimization is rapidly becoming a standard element of contemporary design methodologies. With significant advances in computing algorithms and power, impressive analysis and optimization applications have been successfully carried out in industry, government, and academia alike. Additionally, theoretical developments ranging from new optimization algorithms to approaches for design system robustness and reliability have played a significant role in the ever-growing acceptance of multidisciplinary design and optimization. Historically, the MA&O Conference has provided a comprehensive view of the state-of-the-art. For the first time in its history, the MA&O Conference will be held outside the United States.
The Ninth International Conference on Computational Structures Technology 2-5 September 2008, Athens, Greece Conference website: http://www.civil-comp.com/conf/cst2008.htm
The conference is concerned with the application of the latest computational technology to structural mechanics and engineering. Computational Technology encompasses both the latest hardware and software developments as well as algorithmic and theoretical developments.
The conference is concerned with both theoretical, mathematical and scientific developments as well as applications of established technology to new domains. The word Structures is interpreted in its widest sense.
The conference runs concurrently with the Sixth International Conference on Engineering Computational Technology. Participants may attend sessions from either conference.
The 2008 Leuven Conference on Noise and Vibration Engineering will be held from September 15th till 17th in Leuven, Belgium. It is the 23rd international conference in a series of annual courses and biennial conferences on structural dynamics, modal analysis and noise and vibration engineering, organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
The conference provides a forum for engineers, researchers and other professionals active in the field of modelling, analysing, testing and improving the noise and vibration characteristics of mechanical systems and civil structures. The conference combines expertise in the noise and vibration fields by stressing common measurement, modelling, analysis and control technologies. The meeting will provide a further impetus to the cross fertilisation of ideas in both areas
The European Association for Structural Dynamics (EASD), is pleased to announce that the Seventh European Conference on Structural Dynamics EURODYN 2008 will be held at Southampton University, United Kingdom between 7-9 July 2008. The six previous conferences in the series were held in Bochum (1990), Trondheim (1993), Florence (1996), Prague (1999), Munich (2002) and Paris (2005).
This conference is devoted to theoretical, numerical and experimental developments in structural dynamics and their application to all types of structures and dynamical systems. The conference will reflect the state-of-the-art of structural dynamics and dynamical systems in science and engineering practice and is an opportunity to exchange scientific, technical and experimental ideas.
23 - 26 Apr 2007, Sheraton Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii
The 48th Structures, Structural Dynamics, & Materials (SDM) Conference is sponsored by AIAA, ASME, ASCE, AHS, and ASC. This established conference is a widely acknowledged annual event that provides a unique forum dedicated to the latest development in the collective disciplines of structures, structural dynamics, materials, design engineering, and survivability. The 48th SDM Conference will also host the 15th AIAA/ASME/AHS Adaptive Structures Conference, the 9th AIAA Non-Deterministic Approaches Conference, the 8th AIAA Gossamer Spacecraft Forum, the 3rd AIAA Multidisciplinary Design Optimization Specialist Conference, and the AIAA Dynamics Specialist Conference. Plenary presentations will be given by well-known, forward-thinking, invited speakers focused on structures and materials challenges for future aircraft and spacecraft, and potential paths and ideas leading to integrated solutions.
ICOSSAR'09 will encompass every aspect of safety and reliability of structures and civil engineering systems, with special focus on advanced technologies, analytical and computational methods of risk analysis, probability based design and regulations, smart systems and materials, life cycle cost analysis, damage assessment, social aspects, urban planning, and commercial applications. Emerging concepts as well as state of the art and novel applications of reliability principles in all types of structural systems and mechanical components will be included. Systems for civil, marine, mechanical, transportation, and aerospace applications will be discussed.

International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics 2007 16-20 July 2007, Zurich, Switzerland
Goals
The International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM) is held every four years and is the most important general meeting, worldwide, for applied mathematicians. The Congress covers the full spectrum of research topics in applied mathematics, industrial mathematics and applications of mathematics in industry and scientific disciplines.
The Congress celebrates and describes the contributions of applied mathematics - as an intellectual creation in its own right, as a foundation stone of technological development, and as an indispensable collaborative partner for other scientific disciplines. These aspects of applied mathematics have held true since the dawn of civilisation. They will remain just as important in societies more and more dominated by technology. The Congress is held under the auspices of the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, an international body consisting of approximately 25 professional applied mathematical societies and mathematical societies with a strong membership of applied mathematicians. Previous meetings have been held in
May 21(Mon) ~ May 25(Fri), 2007 COEX, Seoul, Korea
CONGRESS TOPICS
Contributions are invited from all fields of structural and multidisciplinary design optimization. Papers on theories, methods, algorithms and applications are all welcomed. The topic areas for this congress have been organized into three broad topics: Optimization Methods; Information Management & Processing/ Modeling & Simulation; and Applications. Papers submitted to the first two topic areas should have their primary focus on presenting new methods and tools, whereas papers submitted to the applications area should have their primary focus on the engineering results.
